About the Author/Illustrator
Eric Carle is known all around the world as an outstanding original artist and designer. Born in the United States, he spent some years in Germany, where he studied at the Akademie der bildenen Künste. Returning to the United States, he first worked for the New York Times as a designer, then becaes the art director for a large advertising agenc. His first children's books were immediately successful, and he now devotes his full time to their writing and illustrating.
