I am totally awestruck by this novel… I am half way through the book and do not wish it to end.

It has everything a good novel should encompass: deep characters and a strong story line that deals with deep psychological, as well as spiritual, truths without being preachy.

Set in the 60's in the racially torn South, this is a book destined to be a classic. It grabs hold of your soul before your conscious mind knows what is happening, and you slowly fall in love with this book.

I put off reading this book for a long time, feeling the theme was more for women. I was wrong. It is a definite must read for anyone who enjoys being swayed by great fiction.

This book has been a best seller in our store since it was first published, and still continues to outsell all other novels. If you are one of the few who have yet to read this book, please do yourself a favor and do not put it off any longer.
