This true classic has stood the test of time. Murphy founded The Esalen Institute in 1962. This book was first published in 1972. The book is a favorite with critics from the mainstream press. The San Francisco Chronicle has recognized it as a "masterpiece on the mysticism of golf." It is a book with lots of everything in it. Although I recommend it, I think it has become somewhat overrated with the passage of time.
