The Systems Approach for Interpreting Horoscopes
V.K. Choudry
Jyotish is like a vast river whose beginning and ending are unknown. However, we can move about the river and on its bigger tributaries. The Systems Approach, created by V.K. Choudry, is one of the noteworthy branches of Jyotish in the second half of the twentieth century. It is a simple, coherent, useful approach to doing jyotish. Most of his ideas, such as the importance of Moolatrikona sign position to determine the beneficence or maleficence of any graha for a given ascendant, derive from classical Jyotish—especially Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra. Other ideas, such as the middle of a house being the most effective point of the house, come from common sense and the mainstream of Jyotish.
