A very funny book. Queenan is a desperate fan (fan is short for fanatic) of the Philadelphia sports teams. This book is a about the pathos and suffering of fans of local teams that never take home all the marbles. It is not about Yankee fans or Laker fans. The book is very, very funny and all sports fans will enjoy it. Here is a sample of how he views life: "The only thing we like about sports is the game itself. In this sense sports is exactly like sex. Men like sex so much that they are willing to put up with women to get it. They like sports so much that they are willing to put up with Bud Selig, Barry Bonds, Terrell Owens, and any number of people named Pavel. These skinflints, blowhards, bozos, and sons of bitches have what we want. No price is too high to pay to get it."
