Return From Tomorrow

George G. Ritchie

I find myself to be skeptical of books that deal with near death experiences. I mean, is it for real or was the author hallucinating or dreaming?

Ritchie’s book struck me as being different… there was a sense that this is it.

Ritchie is currently a Medical Doctor and was chairman of the Dept. of Psychiatry of Towers Hospital. His experience took place during World War II as he lay in an army hospital. The incident took 9 minutes. Whether he was really dead during this period is a judgment call, (he was pronounced as such) but he was as close to death as a human can be.

His experience makes the after life seem like an advanced University course of spiritual learning. And much of our experience there is dependent on how we lived our lives here. Ultimately the main thing that stuck with me about this book was the total unconditional love that the author felt during his time away from his body. It was so powerful and encompassing that it was unlike any experience he felt on Earth. Reading these passages helped to lessen my own fear of death and reading his words helped create a deep peace within myself.

The book itself is short and can be read in one sitting, and due to its riveting subject material many do.

If you have any interest in near death experiences this is the book for you. Dr Ritchie’s experience was the motivating factor behind Raymond Moody’s (recognized authority on the subject of near death) lifelong passionate study of this phenomenon.
